Taxonomy
Blattinopsis fimbriata was named by Bolton (1925). Its type specimen is BMNH I.7284, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Commentry (BMNH coll), which is in a Gzhelian lacustrine deltaic mudstone in the Commentry Shales Formation of France.
