Taxonomy
Theridium granulatum was named by Koch and Berendt (1854). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Berendt collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland.
It was recombined as Theridion granulatum by Marusik and Penney (2004); it was recombined as Clya granulata by Wunderlich (2008) and Dunlop et al. (2013).
