Taxonomy

Erigone stigmatosa was named by Koch and Berendt (1854). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Berendt collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland. It is the type species of Pseudoteutana.

It was recombined as Steatoda stigmatosa by Marusik and Penney (2004); it was recombined as Pseudoteutana stigmatosa by Wunderlich (2008) and Dunlop et al. (2013).

Synonyms

Eomysmena stridens was named by Petrunkevitch (1958). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Danish Amber (University of Copenhagen ZMUC, NHMD Collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Denmark.

It was synonymized subjectively with Pseudoteutana stigmatosa by Wunderlich (2008).
Flegia succini was named by Petrunkevitch (1942). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (YPM collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Episinus succini by Marusik and Penney (2004); it was synonymized subjectively with Pseudoteutana stigmatosa by Wunderlich (2008) and Dunlop et al. (2013).
