Taxonomy
Teratodon spekei was named by Savage (1965). Its type specimen is BMNH M. 14307, a set of teeth (LeftmaxillawithP4 M1+2 and alveolus of M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Koru, which is in the Miocene of horizon Kenya.
