Taxonomy
Cyclosa verrucosa was named by Wunderlich (1988). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Wunderlich collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.

It was recombined as Enacrosoma verrucosa by Penney (2001) and Dunlop et al. (2013).
