Maiocercus celticus

Taxonomy
Brachypyge celtica was named by Pocock (1902). Its type specimen is NMW 32.518.G1, an abdomen (opisthosoma), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Tynybedw Pit, Pentre, Rhondda Valley, which is in a Westphalian B delta plain ironstone in the Nine-Feet Seam Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Maiocercus celticus by Pocock (1911) and Dunlop et al. (2013).
