Eophrynus prestvicii
Taxonomy
Curculioides prestvicii was named by Buckland (1837). Its type specimen is BMNH In. 49322, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Coalbrook Dale (Pennystone Measures, Anstice collection), which is in a Westphalian C interdistributary bay mudstone in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Duma, Eophrynus.
It was recombined as Duma prestvicii by Giebel (1856); it was recombined as Eophrynus prestwicii by Fritsch (1904); it was recombined as Eophrynus prestvici by Pocock (1911) and Petrunkevitch (1953); it was recombined as Eophrynus prestvicii by Woodward (1871), Pocock (1902), Pocock (1902), Dunlop et al. (2013) and Dunlop and Garwood (2014).
It was recombined as Duma prestvicii by Giebel (1856); it was recombined as Eophrynus prestwicii by Fritsch (1904); it was recombined as Eophrynus prestvici by Pocock (1911) and Petrunkevitch (1953); it was recombined as Eophrynus prestvicii by Woodward (1871), Pocock (1902), Pocock (1902), Dunlop et al.
