Palaeothele montceauensis

Taxonomy
Eothele montceauensis was named by Selden (1996) [Museum d'Histoire Naturelle, Autun]. Its type specimen is MHNA 51961, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Montceau-les-Mines (Sotty MNHN/MHNA coll), which is in a Stephanian B deltaic mudstone in France. It is the type species of Eothele, Palaeothele.

It was recombined as Palaeothele montceauensis by Selden (2000), Dunlop et al. (2013) and Selden (2021).
