Taxonomy
Cretamygale chasei was named by Selden (2002). Its type specimen is IWCMS 1994.101, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Wealden amber, Chilton Chine, Isle of Wight (IWCMS collection), which is in a Barremian terrestrial amber in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Cretamygale.
