Taxonomy
Trigonotarbus johnsoni was named by Pocock (1911). Its type specimen is BMNH In. 31239 and is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Coseley, near Dudley (Egginton coll), which is in a Westphalian B interdistributary bay shale in the United Kingdom.
