Taxonomy
Cratosolpuga wunderlichi was named by Selden (1996). Its type specimen is Wunderlich Sol 1, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Crato (Wunderlich collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large lime mudstone in the Crato Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Cratosolpuga.
