Taxonomy
Eomysmena asta was named by Petrunkevitch (1971). Its type specimen is UCMP 13536 and is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is UCMP B-7045, El Portugal landslide, Simojovel region, which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in Mexico.
