Synonyms
  • Bellerophon scalifer was named by de Koninck (1883) [= Bellerophon bicarenus de Koninck 1843 pl. 38 f. 8, not pl. 37 f. 1]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Visé, which is in a Visean carbonate limestone in the Calcaire de Seilles Formation of Belgium.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Bellerophon bicarenus by Wagner (2023).
