Metaderoceras muticum

Taxonomy
Ammonites muticus was named by d'Orbigny (1844). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.R01615 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Les Cottards, nr Saint George de Poisieux, which is in a Pliensbachian marine horizon in France.

It was recombined as Crucilobiceras muticum by Bremer (1965); it was recombined as Metaderoceras muticum by Alkaya and Meister (1995) and Meister and Friebe (2003).
