Orthonychia ungula
Taxonomy
Orthonychia ungula was named by Weller (1906). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Goetz's Lime Quarry, just below Glen Park Station, which is in a Kinderhookian carbonate limestone in the Glen Park Formation of Missouri.
It was corrected as Orthonychia ungula by Girty (1929); it was recombined as Rhabdocantha ungula by Fletcher (1958); it was recombined as Platyceras (Orthonychia) ungula by Yochelson and Saunders (1867) and Yochelson and Saunders (1967).
