Taxonomy
Arachnometa tuberculata was named by Petrunkevitch (1949). Its type specimen is BMNH In. 13917, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Coseley, near Dudley (Neil coll), which is in a Westphalian B interdistributary bay siliciclastic in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Arachnometa.
