Kassinella was named by Borissiak (1956) [Sepkoski's age data: O (Cara-u) - O (Ashg-u), Refs: 878, 965]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Strophomenida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Hesperomenidae by Williams et al. (2000) and Benedetto (2012).
