Taxonomy
Metapalaeoneilo dromon was named by Kříž and Steinová (2009). Its type specimen is JK 14959, a shell (Internal mould of the left valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Temporary outcrop just northwest of Běchovice, which is in a Hirnantian transition zone/lower shoreface shale in the Kosov Formation of the Czech Republic.
