Megaconus mammaliaformis
Taxonomy
Megaconus mammaliaformis was named by Zhou et al. (2013). Its type specimen is PMOL AM00007A and AM00007B, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (IVPP collection), which is in a Callovian lacustrine - large shale/tuff in the Tiaojishan Formation of China. It is the type species of Megaconus.
