Staurotypus moschus

Taxonomy
Staurotypus moschus was named by Cadena et al. (2012). Its type specimen is UF 242076, a partial shell (left peripheral 2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Centenario Bridge, which is in a Hemingfordian delta plain sandstone in the Cucaracha Formation of Panama. It is the type species of Staurotypus.
