Taxonomy
Spirocirrus weisi was named by Monari et al. (2011). Its type specimen is MNHNL BR299 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Reckingerwald quarry, near Brouch, which is in an Angulata marine sandstone in the Luxembourg Sandstone Formation of Luxembourg.
