Taxonomy
Metriolepis kuzuensis was named by Tazawa (2012). Its type specimen is KFM1728 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is KY4, Yamasuge, Kuzu area, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in the Nabeyama Formation of Japan.
