Srivastava 1967colpate pollen grains ; ellipsoidal, polyplicate, many ridges and furrows converging toward the longitudinal ends, ridges gently rounded or angular, branched and may be interconnected; furrows alternate with ridges, do not extend to longitudinal ends where ridges coalesce, nsnfossulate; exine double layered, sexine thick, nexine thin; ridges coalesce at the longitudinal ends and a smooth area (apoptychia) present at the longitudinal ends with thick exine; longitudinal ends narrow, rounded or conical.
