Liliacidites crassibaculatus was named by Freile (1972) [Measurement of others specimens: (longitudinal Equatorial diameter) Length 27(35)48 µ; (transversal equatorial diameter) 14(18)24 µ. Others samples examinated: Preparación # 734, coord. 20.3-120.5. prep. # 735; 39.2-116.8; 24.324.3-114.3; 25.9-92.8; 36.8-93.3; prep. # 736, coord. 38.9-106.3.]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype: P.M. L. P. # 735, coord. 26-119.8., a plant debris (Pollen grain). Its type locality is Pozo T-137, nivel 720.50-721.75 m., which is in a Maastrichtian/Eocene terrestrial sandstone/claystone in the Cerro Dorotea Formation of Argentina.

C. Freile 1972Grano de polen monocolpado. Contorno de forma elíptica a subesférica en vista polar. El colpo ocupa la totalidad del eje longitudinal, en su vista polar. Exina proximal gruesa, de 1.5 a 2 µ de espesor, distalmente mas delicada; compuesta por dos capas: la endexina más delgada que la ectexina. La exina posee ornamentación reticulada, con lúminas pequeñas (1 µ o menos) y muros simplibaculados con columelas gruesas, de base muy irregular. Lúmenes algo más pequeños en los extremos.
