Type locality and stratigraphic horizon. Lake Cardiel, 6 specimens: Residue 26/04-PCB3, 4; Residue 29/04-PCB5, 2; Albian (and Early Cenomanian?).
Taxonomy
Arcellites humilis was named by Villar de Seoane and Archangelsky (2008). It is not extant. Its type locality is Lake Cardiel-Cerro Bayo, which is in an Albian/Cenomanian marine sandstone/mudstone in the Piedra Clavada Formation of Argentina.
