Taxonomy
Strigogoniatites umbilicatus was named by Liang (1981). Its type specimen is NIGP 62054 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Daqishan, sample Rrf-93, Anbei County, which is in a Wordian marine horizon in the Jiushitan Formation of China.
