Taxonomy
Waagenoceras gansuense was named by Liang (1981). Its type specimen is NIGP 62035 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Daqishan, sample Rrf-92, Anbei County, which is in a Wordian marine horizon in the Jiushitan Formation of China.
