Taxonomy
Ceratites brembanus was named by Mojsisovics (1882). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lenna in Val Brembana (Geol. Reichsanstalt coll), which is in an Anisian carbonate limestone in Italy.
It was recombined as Paraceratites brembanus by Spath (1934) and Gu et al. (1980).
