Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria rotundata was named by Bosch (1998). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Spergen Hill, near railroad station at Harristown, southeast of Salem, which is in a Meramecian carbonate limestone in the Salem Formation of Indiana.
