Taxonomy
Terebratula uta was named by Marcou (1858). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vicinity of Salt Lake City, which is in a Bashkirian carbonate limestone in the Round Valley Formation of Utah.
It was recombined as Pugnax utah by Kozlowski (1914).
