Taxonomy
Neoparadoxia cecilialina was named by Barnes (2013) [aka OCPC 1892]. Its type specimen is LACM 150150, a skeleton (nearly complete skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Aliso Viejo, which is in a Langhian/Serravallian slope/ramp reef siltstone/diatomite in the Monterey Formation of California.
