Striatosirenites kedonensis was named by Bychkov (1973). Its type specimen is TsGM 71/8301 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Omkuchan River, Omolon river basin, which is in a Tuvalian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
