Taxonomy
Juresanites maximovae was named by Andrianov (1985). Its type specimen is YaF SO AN 55/556 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample 4/66a, Lena River, above mouth of Kubalakh Creek, which is in an Asselian marine siltstone in the Tuorasis Formation of the Russian Federation.
