Taxonomy
Turbo kochii was named by Goldfuss (1844). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Procerithium kochi by Nützel and Kiessling (1997); it was recombined as Rhynchocerithium kochi by Gründel and Nützel (1998); it was recombined as Francocerithium kochi by Nützel and Gründel (2007).
