Protodiamphipnoa gaudryi
Taxonomy
Protophasma gaudryi was named by Brongniart (1885) [Neotype designated by Bethoux & Nel, 2005]. Its type specimen is MNHN.F.R51400, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Commentry (MNHN Brongniart coll), which is in a Gzhelian lacustrine deltaic shale in the Commentry Shales Formation of France.
It was recombined as Cnemidolestes gaudryi by Handlirsch (1906) and Handlirsch (1922); it was recombined as Protodiamphipnoa gaudryi by Lameere (1917) and Béthoux and Nel (2005).
