Taxonomy
Turbo morganensis was named by Stanton (1895). Its type specimen is USNM 23071 and is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Amberleya morganensis by Kiel et al. (2008); it was recombined as Ambercyclus morganensis by Ferrari et al. (2014).
