Paleovespa menatensis

Taxonomy
Paleovespa menatensis was named by Nel and Auvray (2006). Its type specimen is MNHN Auvray 21.6, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Menat (MNHN collection), which is in a Selandian crater lake diatomite in the Menat Formation of France.
