Trialestes romeri
Taxonomy
Triassolestes romeri was named by Reig (1963). Its type specimen is PVL 2561 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 4.2 km east-southeast of Aguada de la Peña, which is in a Carnian terrestrial horizon in the Ischigualasto Formation of Argentina.
It was synonymized subjectively with Herrerasaurus ischigualastensis by Rauhut (2003); it was recombined as Trialestes romeri by Bonaparte (1982), Irmis et al. (2013), Martínez et al. (2013) and Lecuona et al. (2016).
