Taxonomy
Anthoscytina perpetua was named by Li et al. (2013). Its type specimen is CNU-HEM-NN2012002, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Daohugou (CNU 2012 collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Daohugou Formation of China.
