Taxonomy
Eophalangium was named by Dunlop et al. (2004). Its type is Eophalangium sheari.
It was assigned to Eupnoi by Dunlop et al. (2004) and Dunlop et al. (2013); and to Tetrophthalmi by Garwood et al. (2014).
