Taxonomy
Ancorhynchia was named by Jin and Ye (1979) [Sepkoski's age data: P Dora]. Its type is Ancorhynchia madoensis.

It was corrected as Anchorhynchia by Angiolini (2001) and Campi et al. (2005).

It was assigned to Rhynchonellida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Uncinunellininae by Angiolini (2001), Campi et al. (2005) and Wu et al. (2019).
