It was reranked as the subtribe Glyptapina by Engel (2001); it was reranked as the tribe Glyptapini by Engel (2005), Gonzalez et al. (2012) and Engel (2021).

It was assigned to Osmiini by Engel (2001); and to Megachilinae by Engel (2005), Gonzalez et al. (2012) and Engel (2021).
