Taxonomy
Caledorhynchia was named by MacFarlan (1992) [Sepkoski's age data: J Sine J Call-l Sepkoski's reference number: 1068]. Its type is Caledorhynchia caledonica.

It was assigned to Piarorhynchiinae by Williams et al. (2002); and to Rhynchonellida by Sepkoski (2002).
