Avitortor leptoscelis

Taxonomy
Geotrupoides leptoscelis was named by Nikritin (1977). Its type specimen is PIN 3064/936, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 3064), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large marl in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Avitortor leptoscelis by Nikolajev (1992), Krell (2000) and Nikolajev (2007).
