Taxonomy
Tegulorhynchia ampullacea was named by Bitner (1996). Its type specimen is ZPAL Bp.XXXVII/95, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is ZPAL 1, Bill Hill, Telm 1, which is in a Ypresian prodelta siltstone/sandstone in the La Meseta Formation of Antarctica.
