Taxonomy
Drepanorhyncha was named by Cooper (1956). Its type is Porambonites ottawaensis.

It was assigned to Ancistrorhynchidae by Mitchell (1977) and Williams et al. (2002); and to Rhynchonellida by Sepkoski (2002).
