Otozamites archangelskyi was named by Baldoni and Taylor (1983). It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type locality is Estancia El Salitral Plant Formation, which is in a Cretaceous fluvial sandstone in the Springhill Formation of Argentina.
