Taxonomy
Terebratula rostriformis was named by Roemer (1836).

It was recombined as Rhynchonella multiformis by Jacob and Fallot (1913); it was recombined as Lamellaerhynchia rostriformis by Burri (1956) and Harper et al. (2005); it was recombined as Lamellaerhynchia multiformis by Bujtor (2006).
