Bibio xylophilus

Taxonomy
Bibio xylophilus was named by Germar (1837). Its type specimen is STIPB A 600, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Orsberg (Goldfuss Bonn collection), which is in a MP 30 lacustrine - large shale in the Rott Formation of Germany.
