Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
T. Tortosa et al. 2014A medium-sized abelisaurid distinguished from other abelisaurids by the following combination of characters (autapomorphies indicated by an asterisk): (1) frontals with a slight median thickening, (2) a median dorsal foramen between the frontals*, (3) a low depression with a small fenestra in the skull roof between the frontal, the postorbital and the lacrimal, (4) a postorbital forming a strong rugose, dorsolaterally developed supraorbital brow*, (5) a thin bony expansion between the ventral and posterior rami of the postorbital*, (6) a lateral tuberosity on the ventral ramus of the postorbital, (7) paroccipital processes bounded dorsally and ventrally by two horizontal bars, forming a depression lateral to the foramen magnum*, (8) basipterygoid process laterally directed*, (9) a slightly proximally anterodorsally curved fibular crest and (10) a lateral tibial condyle more developed posteriorly than the medial condyle.
